WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR VACANCY

JOB TITLE: Workshop Supervisor
LOCATION: Workshop, Customers Sites
REPORTING TO: Sales Director

JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY:
To ensure that the day to day running of the workshop is carried out ensuring customer requirements and the Company Quality Standards are met and that all work is carried out to Health and Safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACOUNTABILITIES:

  • To communicate with customers regarding collection, ongoing repairs and delivery of jobs both Emergency and Normal Service
  • To communicate with Sales Director and other staff members regarding relevant workshop issues effecting the day to day running of the business
  • Ensure all incoming/site jobs are booked onto the dedicated EMIR system
  • To assess incoming jobs and provide estimates on timescales and materials required in order to provide customers quotations where required
  • To liaise with suppliers to ensure materials are purchased cost effectively to undertake repairs
  • To liaise with suppliers in the purchase of materials for stock and general maintenance of the workshop
  • To supervise other staff members when working within the workshop environment
  • To ensure the Company Quality Standards are maintained and all relevant workshop documentation is completed
  • To ensure all equipment is used and maintained in a safe manner
  • Carry out scheduled safety checks on equipment as specified
  • To ensure measuring equipment is calibrated where required
  • Ensure Health and Safety Standards are maintained
  • Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained
  • Ensure that the premises are secured at close of business
  • Where applicable to ensure that the Company workshop vehicle is maintained and kept in a clean and tidy condition
  • To be available to take customer calls out of hours on a rota basis as required
  • Implement and follow training and guidelines on health and safety matters.
